The wine Raig de Raïm Blanco is crafted from 10 to 25-year-old vineyards.

Produced by Celler Piñol, this Spanish white wine is made from a blend of White Grenache and Macabeo grown in clay-limestone soils at an altitude of 450 metres above sea level.

Harvested at their optimal ripening state, the grapes were destemmed, cold-soaked, gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature.

After that, Raig de Raïm Blanco 2018 was aged for 3 months, during which it was naturally clarified and stabilized with no external intervention.

Drink this white wine from Terra Alta over the next 18 months.

Additional Information

The young white wine Raig de Raïm Blanco from the DO Terra Alta has a straw yellow colour with some greenish tinges.

Quite lively, this blend of Grenache and Macabeo smells of white fruit, quickly seguing into aromas of citrus, aromatic herbs and a dash of pears and apricots.

Fresh, savoury notes of bone fruit, citrus and flowers. This white wine by Celler Piñol has a good acidity and a medium, pleasant finish.

Our personal opinion

Refreshing and pleasant, Raig de Raïm Blanco 2018 is a young white wine that pairs well with fish dishes and tapas.

A fresh white wine for little money. In the summertime, I do not ask for anything else.
