The new vintage of Refugi Brut Nature Reserva de Loxarel 2013 is made from certified organic vineyards.
The wine is mainly made from old, over 70-year-old Xarel.lo vines planted in the Garraf Natural Park, a beautiful environment located south of Barcelona. The blend is complemented with a touch of Chardonnay.
A portion of the Xarel.lo wine was fermented in 300-litre oak barrels.
After the completion of both fermentations, Refugi Brut Nature was aged for 3 years in the cellar.
Drink now until 2020.
Clean, bright, pale yellow colour with some steely tinges.
Notes of fresh pastry, lees, English custard, white fruit, sugar-dipped fruit, white flowers and mineral. Elegant and well-balanced Spanish sparkling wine.
Unctuous and velvety, with a substantial body and a rewarding sensation of freshness, enhanced by a tense acidity. Notes of toast, fine lees and fruit compote, nicely intertwined with some tiny, caressing bubbles. Long, pleasantly bitter finish.
