Regina Vides 2001 is an first class red wine produced by the Viña Sastre winery. A wine that is second only to the majestic Pesus, the company's flagship wine.
This Spanish red wine is a single varietal Tempranillo made from vines 64 to 100 years of age with extremely low yields.
The 2001 vintage was qualified as "Excellent" by the Ribera del Duero Regulatory Council. Climate was mild and fresh, and the amount of rain was above average. Those factors lent the wines a great purity and finesse.
Harvested by hand, this wine from Ribera del Duero was vinified in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts.
After the completion of malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged for 18 to 20 months in French oak barrels.
Following Enterwine's policiy, since we have not tasted Regina Vides 2001 we will not supply its tasting note. Parker 94.
