This is the new vintage of Sers Blanqué Fuerza 21, produced by Bodegas Sers in the town of Cofita, in the northern Spanish province of Huesca (Aragón).
Harvested at dusk, once in the cellar the grapes were traditionally vinified and aged for 4 months in American oak barrels.
Finally, Sers Blanqué 18 was delicately filtered and bottled. We suggest that you decant it before drinking.
The production of this white wine from Somontano is below 4,500 bottles.
The white wine Sers Blanqué has an elegant golden colour with some greenish glints.
Quite expressive, with a well-defined varietal character. This Chardonnay smells of pineapples, citrus and green apples, and also suggests aromas of vanilla and aromatic herbs.
Smooth, crisp and moderately dry, the fruit of this white wine from Bodegas Sers is not as present as in the nose. Good acidity, remembrances of spices and citrus and some buttery nuances. Medium, yummy finish.

I discovered this wine through enterwine's newsletter. I have to say I've been very pleased by it, because for once there is a Chardonnay which is crisp and not too tropical.
An unknown Chardonnay that does its job. It has an interesting earthy touch.
