This is the only Spanish red wine produced by the AT Roca winery, known for its quality sparkling wines.
From the heart of Montsant, Sileo is made from a traditional blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Carignan (Samsó). The grapes come from two plots located in the Almós Mountains, farmed following environmentally friendly procedures.
After a meticulous harvest, the grapes of this red wine from Montsant were fermented and subsequently aged on lees in 500-litre French oak barrels for a period of 9 months.
Drink Sileo 2017 until 2022.
The red wine Sileo has a clean, medium-high cherry-coloured robe with a violet rim.
This blend of Grenache and Carignan smells of cranberries and bilberries, underscored by notes of Mediterranean garrigue, liquorice and a peppery note.
Fresh and bold, this red wine by AT Roca has some smooth, ripe tannins and a well-balanced acidity. Subtle remembrances of wild berries, fine wood, smoke underbrush and spices. Long finish with dim mineral undertones.
