This French champagne, Taittinger Brut Rosé from Reims, has been crafted from a coupage of grapes from different crus in Champagne, France, from different vintages of wine reserves. Each of the different crus and vintages used provide a unique attribute in the final product. This champagne, Taittinger rosado, has been crafted from a coupage of 30% Chardonnay and 70% Pinot Noir. This is a slightly higher percentage of Chardonnay than is traditional for this type of champagne. The most distinctive characteristic of Taittinger Brut Prestige Rosé, is that just before this champagne is bottled there is a portion of this winery´s own red wine added to the coupage to give it its rosé color and characteristics.

Additional Information

Appearance This sparkling rosé wine presents itself with a pink rose colored body, medium layering, and it has an iridescent reflection. This is a bright and clean champagne with fine effervescence that form a rosy crown.
Nose Fresh and intense aromatics that are marked by red berry aromas. These fruit aromatics are presented alongside lite herbal notes that are entwined with fine pastry aromatics.
Palate This wine has a pleasant and fresh entrance onto the palate with a well-balanced passage through the palate. The effervescence is well-integrated. The retronasal olfaction qualities of this wine push ripe red fruit aromas through the palate into the nose. The aftertaste has medium persistency.
Our personal opinion This is a fresh champagne that is perfect to be enjoyed as an aperitif before an elegant dinner. This champagne has some fine sweetness and it will always fit well in more elegant environments.
