Terran is the first Spanish red wine produced by Javier San Pedro Ortega, the son of the founders of Bodegas Vallobera.

This red wine from Rioja is a single varietal Tempranillo coming from old, low-yielding vineyards.

After a careful selection process, the grapes were fermented and macerated in 3,500 kg oak vats.

Then Terran de Vallobera 2012 was transferred into French oak barrels, where it was aged for 15 months.

Decant this elegant Tempranillo from Rioja 30 minutes before drinking.

Drink until 2023.

Additional Information

Terran de Vallobera has a clean, bright cherry colour with a garnet rim.

This Tempranillo from Rioja seduces from the very beginning. Clean aromas of fresh black fruit, combined with some balsamic notions and some earthy and toasted nuances. Some tips of flowers, a note of spices and a pleasant mineral background.

This Crianza red wine Terran by Bodegas Vallobera enters the palate with poise and boldness. Fruit is meaty and perfectly ripe, and it is balanced by a delicately sweet spicy note and a refreshing mineral background. Texture is very fine, with some savoury tannins and an excellent acidity. Long finish with some mineral and earthy remembrances.

Our personal opinion

Modern and terroir-orientated, Terran de Vallobera 2012 pairs fabulously with hearty meat dishes.

Thanks to your staff for letting me know about this wine. A Rioja with an interestingly modern, uplifting twist. Very good indeed.
