Produced by Bodega Tobía, the red wine Tobía Selección de Autor is made from a classic Rioja blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Grenache, coming from vineyards located in the three subzones of La Rioja (Alta, Baja and Alavesa).
Coming from 15 to 80-year-old plants, the grapes were harvested by hand. Destemmed and uncrushed, they completed alcoholic fermentation in tanks and were subsequently transferred into American and French oak barrels. There, Tobía Selección de Autor 2015 was aged for 18 months.
Then this crianza red wine was bottled unfiltered and was further aged for 6 months.
Decant 30 minutes before drinking. Drink until 2023.
The wine Tobía Selección de Autor has a cherry colour with a purple and garnet rim.
This crianza red wine from La Rioja is mild, elegant, restrained. Aromas of violets, cocoa, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg over a complex background of liquorice, leather, coffee and balsam.
Inviting, fresh, pleasantly creamy. This Tobía Selección by Bodega Tobía combines remembrances of liquor-infused fruit with some spicy, toasted and earthy notions. Mild tannins and very good acidity. Long finish.
