Trossos Sants 2015 is a remarkable Catalan white wine produced by Alfredo Arribas.
The grapes were harvested by hand in little boxes.
Once in the cellar, they were partially destemmed, crushed and drawn-off.
After that, half of the wine must was fermented in 500-litre French oak barrels and the other half in stainless steel tanks.
Finally, the wine was aged for 5 months in both containers.
Production of less than 6,000 bottles.
Decant 1 hour before drinking.
This wine will considerably improve over the next years. Drink until 2023.
Pale yellow colour with some waxy tinges.
This single varietal White Grenache from Montsant shows rich aromas of nuts, almonds, underbush, white flowers, pineapple and citrus over a deep mineral background.
Complex and still in the making, showing notes of smoke, mineral, toast, white fruit, garrigue, white flowers and bitter almonds. Excellent acidity, with a silky body and a long, gently bitter finish.
|Our personal opinion||
White Grenache wines are increasingly appreciated. If you want to know why, just try Trossos Sants 2015.

Arribas' wines are among the most elegant, Atlantic-like in Priorat. He knows how to use oak and does not overextract. This garnacha blanca is superb!
