This Crianza red wine is made from grapes coming from 6 plots of old Carignan vineyards, planted in red clay soils.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were destemmed, cold-soaked and fermented at a controlled temperature. After the completion of alcoholic fermentation, the wine was aged for 11 months in used French oak barrels.
Finally, this red wine from Montsant was blended, bottled and further aged for some months in the cellar before its release.

The red wine Trossos Vells has a bright, intense, medium-high cherry-coloured robe with a purple rim.
Intense, elegant notes of black fruit, bitter cocoa, spices and flowers, alongside a deep note of liquorice. On the background, this sophisticated Carignan from Montsant suggests some mineral overtones and notions of smoke and toast.

Bitter chocolate, aromatic herbs, red berries and mineral remembrances. Mild tannins, good focus, smooth texture and refreshing acidity. Long, complex finish.
