Viñátigo Gual is a Spanish white wine produced in the idyllic Canary Islands.
This wine is a true rarity, as it is a single varietal Gual, an indigenous grape that grows almost exclusively in the island of Tenerife.
Meticulously harvested, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Then Viñátigo Gual 2012 was aged on its lees.
Finally, the wine was clarified and stabilized prior to its bottling.
Very bright, clean straw yellow colour with some greyish tinges.
Aromas of pears, watermelon and apples, combined with some remembrances of honey, green pineapples, white flowers and subtle mineral nuances.
Remembrances of citrus and white fruit, underpinned by some mineral and bitter touches. Expansive, but not heavy. Fresh acidity and long finish with remembrances of bitter almonds, lime and royal jelly.

Viñátigo Gual 2012 provides a great opportunity to enrich our knowledge of the rich heritage of indigenous grapes from the Canary Islands
