Made from Tempranillo, the red wine Sierra Cantabria Cuvée is sourced solely from Finca La Llana, a 10-hectare vineyard planted with over 30-year-old vines and located near Labastida, in the heart of DOCa Rioja. The soils are composed of sand, gravel and pebble stones
Once in the premises of the Viñedos Sierra Cantabria winery, one of the projects of the prestigious Eguren family, the grapes were meticulously selected and destemmed. Then this Spanish red wine was macerated for 2 days with indigenous yeasts under strict temperature control in stainless steel tanks.
After a two-week maceration with the skins, this red wine from La Rioja completed malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. Finally, the wine Sierra Cantabria Cuvée 2020 was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels 40% new.
This varietal Crianza red wine was not filtered before being bottled.

| Palate | The wine is expansive, savoury and very fresh. Fruit is ripe, pure and well defined. This single vineyard red wine from Viñedos Sierra Cantabria has a crisp, linear acidity and some round, delicious tannins. The wine breathes freely, and it has a very long finish with remembrances of spices, earth and flowers. |
| Our personal opinion | The wine Sierra Cantabria Cuvée 2020 has a somewhat more modern character than the rest of the wines produced by the winery. It will surely improve over the next years. |
