This is the 2023 vintage of the wine Aalto, a highly prestigious Spanish red wine produced in Ribera del Duero.
Crafted by the renowned winemaker Mariano García, this varietal Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) is made from old-vines 40 to 80 years old.
Harvest was carried out manually. After a meticulous selection that took place both in the vineyard and in the cellar, the grapes were separately vinified according to their plot of origin.
The alcoholic fermentation and maceration of this red wine from Ribera del Duero were carried out inside truncated cone-shaped stainless steel vats. After that, the best wine musts were transferred into French and American oak barrels, where they went through malolactic fermentation.
Subsequently, the red wine Aalto 2023, produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Aalto, was aged for 17 months in the barrels. Before its commercial release, it was aged for a further months in the bottle.
We suggest that you decant this Crianza red wine a minimum of 1 hour before drinking.
