Produced by the Altavins winery, the wine Almodí comes from DO Terra Alta, Catalonia's southernmost wine region.
This interesting Spanish red wine is made solely from Hairy Grenache (also known as Garnatxa Peluda or, even better, Garnatxa Borruda), a little-known mutation of Grenache indigenous to Catalonia, sourced from organically certified vineyards.
Harvested by hand and carefully selected, the grapes were destemmed, macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Then the wine Almodí 2024 was aged for a brief period of 4 months in French oak barrels.
This is a vegan certified red wine from Terra Alta.

| Nose | This varietal organic red wine made from Hairy Grenache suggests aromas of wild berries, very pure and expressive, along with hints of earth, liquorice, aniseed and some toasted remembrances. |
| Palate | This young vegan red wine of Bodega Altavins is fresh and meaty, though not explosively fruity. It has a somewhat dark, deep character that we find extremely attractive. Acidity is crisp and tannins are delicious. Long finish with remembrances of dry earth and red berries. |
| Our personal opinion | A wine of great drinkability, Almodí 2024 brings a good opportunity to get to know an esoteric native grape at a superb price. |
