As its name suggests, the red wine Ausàs Interpretación aims to convey Xavier Ausàs's view of the Ribera del Duero region.
Few winemakers know the region better than Mr. Ausàs, who worked for several years as chief oenologist of bodega Vega Sicilia before embarking on his personal project, Ausàs Bodegas y Viñedos.
This varietal Spanish red wine is sourced from a patchwork of Tinto Fino (or Tempranillo) vineyards, with different types of soils and sun orientations.
Each parcel was separately vinified. This Crianza red wine was first cold macerated before going through alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and concrete diposits.
After that, the red wine Ausàs Interpretación 2022 was aged for 15 months in 225 and 500-litre French oak barrels, 30% new.
It is important to decant this red wine from Ribera del Duero 1 hour before drinking.
