The interesting wine Bàrbara Forés El Quintà is a varietal White Grenache coming from DO Terra Alta, a region in south-west Catalonia that, incidentally, is home to one third of all the world's White Grenache vineyards.
Produced by Celler Bàrbara Forés, this Spanish white wine is sourced from two plots of over 70-year-old vines with a total extension of 4 hectares. They are planted in sandy soils with an abundance of silica fossils, at an altitude above 350 metres.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were cold-macerated for 24 hours and then fermented in 400 and 600-litre French oak barrels. The white wine Bàrbara Forés El Quintà 2022 was subsequently aged for 8 months.
