Made by the Domini de la Cartoixa winery from vinyeards situated in the heart of Priorat, Galena Ed. Didier Lourenço is an amazing Spanish red wine.
A long-time collaborator of the winery, the painter Didier Lourenço is the author of the paintings that illustrate the labels.
This certified organic red wine is made from a complex blend of Grenache, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot collected at their optimal ripening point. Manually harvested and meticulously selected, each variety was separately vinified in stainless steel tanks.
Gently crushed before malolactic fermentation, this red wine from Priorat was then blended and transferred into 80% French and 20% American oak barrels, where it was aged for 12 months.
After that, Galena 2020 Ed. Didier Lourenço was aged for a further 24 months in the bottle.
Decant this Crianza red wine 1 hour before drinking.

| Nose | Terroir-driven and very complex, the nose of this blend of Grenache, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is defined by the mineral, "llicorella" notes coming from Priorat's one-of-a-kind slate soils. We also perceive aromas of ripe black fruit, balsam, menthol and a thin, gentle layer of spices. Simply great. |
| Palate | Full-bodied, but also smooth and velvety textured. The wine Didier Lourenço of the Clos Galena winery has a remarkable freshness, real complexity and great tension. Pure notes of fruit, incense, cocoa and spices, a nice mineral background and medium-long finish with some mineral and undergrowth remembrances. |
