The wine Hécula Monastrell Organic is made by Bodegas Castaño solely from Monastrell grapes.
This Spanish red wine is sourced from 50-year-old, organically farmed vineyards planted at an altitude of 750 metres aboves sea level in DO Yecla. Soils are made of rocks, sand and lime.
Traditionally vinified, the wine Hécula Monastrell Organic 2023 was fermented in stainless steel tanks.
After that, this red wine from Yecla underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged for 6 months in 80% French and 20% American oak barrels.
This varietal vegan red wine is definitely one of Spain's absolute best values.
