Izadi Blanco Selección 2024
The white wine Izadi Blanco Selección is made from a bunch of traditional white grapes from La Rioja.
Besides the usual Viura and Malvasía, the two main varieties, this Spanish white wine has White Grenache, White Tempranillo, Maturana Blanca and Torrontés in the blend.
They are sourced from old vines planted on mild slopes with clay-limestone soils in Villanueva (Rioja Alavesa). Climate is Atlantic with a Mediterranean influence.
Harvested at their optimal ripening state, once in the cellar the grapes were destemmed and gently crushed prior to fermentation.
First, the wine must was fermented in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. After that, the wine Izadi Blanco Selección 2024 was blended and aged for some months in French oak barrels.
Pair this blend of six white varieties from La Rioja with creamy cheeses, white meat and oily fish recipes.
