This well-known Spanish red wine is produced by Bodegas Izadi, a brand of the Artevinos Group.
A varietal Tempranillo, the wine Izadi Crianza is sourced from 178 hectares of vineyards 45 years old on average. The vines are located in an area called "El Triángulo", between the villages of Villabuena, Samaniego and Ábalos, at an altitude of 450 to 500 metres above sea level. Soils are composed of clay and limestone.
The grapes were harvested by hand. Once in the cellar, they were destemmed and crushed. Then this Crianza red wine completed both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Afterwards, the red wine Izadi Crianza 2022 was aged for 14 months in American oak barrels and French oak barrels, 20% new.
Finally, this red wine from La Rioja was clarified with egg whites and gently filtered prior to its bottling.
Pair with meat dishes and hearty legume recipes.
