Leirana Finca Genoveva 2023
This is the new vintage of the wine Leirana Finca Genoveva, one of the most sought-after Albariños from DO Rías Baixas.
Produced by Forjas del Salnés, this varietal Spanish white wine is sourced from a 1.5-hectare vineyard planted with very old Albariño vines. Most are centenary, and some of them are, amazingly, over 180 years old.
Crafted by superstar winemaker Raúl Pérez and Galician winegrower Rodrigo Méndez, this varietal white wine from Rías Baixas was vinified in a most exquisite manner, following the same minimalistic techniques which have been used for 5 generations.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were fermented in old French oak vats using indigenous yeasts.
After that, the wine Leirana Finca Genoveva 2023 was aged for 12 months in the vats, with no stirrings of the lees. Then the wine was bottled and aged for a short period of time before hitting the market.
This outstanding Crianza white wine will make an excellent pairing with sushi, rice dishes, shrimp and creamy cheeses.

| Palate | Delicate and fresh, this wine from Forjas del Salnés has a solid structure and a first-class acidity. Focused and very precise, with layers of citrusy flavours, some mineral suggestions, and lots of inner energy. Very long, complex finish with a salty and zesty note. |
