O Cotarelo Blanco 2024
Produced by Adega O Cotarelo, a small-batch winery from DO Ribeiro, Galicia, the wine O Cotarelo Blanco is made solely from native grape varieties.
A blend of Treixadura, Albariño, Godello and Loureira, the grapes are sourced from old, low-yielding vineyards situated in O Barral, on the banks of Miño river, in the province of Ourense. After having been abandoned for several years, the vines were put back into grape production by winemaker Benigno Ríos, who is also the owner of the winery.
Each variety was separately vinified. This Spanish white wine was first fermented in stainless steel tanks and subsequently blended.
After that, the wine O Cotarelo Blanco 2024 was aged for a short period in the tanks before its bottling.
Gentle, smooth and fruit-driven, this white wine from Ribeiro will pair excellently with shrimp and fish recipes.
