The red wine Ombra is mainly made from Grenache, complemented with Carignan (aka Samsó) and Syrah.
The family-owned winery La Cova dels Vins makes this Spanish red wine from 15 to 40-year-old vineyards located in DO Montsant, at an altitude around 400 metres above sea level, they are planted in slate soils.
Both the harvest and the vinification process were carried out manually. Fermentation and maceration of this red wine from Montsant took place in stainless steel tanks.
After that, the wine Ombra 2022 was aged for 12 months in 300-litre French oak barrels.
Aerate this Crianza red wine 20 minutes before drinking.

| Palate | Pleasant, gently warm and smooth. Fruit is very present, nuanced by some spicy and balsamic tips and an excellent acidity. Tannins are ripe, and the ending of this red wine from La Cova dels Vins is gentle and pleasant, leaving some creamy and mineral remembrances. |
| Our personal opinion | Excellent with hearty dishes, the wine Ombra 2022 conveys the most traditional side of Montsant. A ridiculously good value. |
