Produced by Pago de Vallegarcía, the composition of the wine Petit Hipperia slightly changes with each vintage.
Besides, each bottling of this Spanish red wine comes with a slightly different label, with a horse-the emblem of the winery-as a recurrent motif.
The 2023 vintage is made from Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, coming from vineyards situated in the Cabañeros National Park, at 850 metres of altitude, in the Toledo mountain range.
After a meticulous harvest, the grapes were macerated for 3-4 days and separately vinified in stainless steel tanks with periodic punch-overs and pump-downs.
Subsequently, the wine Petit Hipperia 2023 completed malolactic fermentation in used oak barrels.
Finally, this Crianza red wine from designation VT Castilla was aged for 12 months in the barrels.
