Produced by bodega Pago de Vallegarcía, the wine Vallegarcia Syrah comes from the tiny DO Pago de Vallegarcía, situated in he Montes de Toledo region.
A varietal Syrah, this Spanish red wine is sourced from 25-year-old vines oriented to the south and planted at 850 meters of altitude. The soils are poor and full of stones, with a silica surface. The region has a continental climate, with hot and dry summers and cold and humid winters.
This limited production Crianza red wine was crafted with the utmost care. First the grapes were harvested by hand and macerated for 72 hours in stainless steel tanks. After that, they were fermented for 21 days at a low temperature.
After that, the wine Vallegarcía Syrah 2022 was transferred into French oak barrels, where it was aged 12 months. Finally, it was further aged for some months in the bottle.

Excellent balance, with wood, fruit and tannins nicely integrated. The aftertaste is reminiscent of black fruit, underbrush, spices and flowers. |
