Ron Angostura 1919 is a product made in the Caribbean island of Trinidad from a blend of three rums. Those rums were crafted from the best sugarcane melasses, fermented using selected yeasts and distilled in little stills. Then, they were aged for a minimum of 8 years in American oak barrels previously used to age Bourbon.
Ron Angostura 1919 has a clean, limpid golden colour with some amber glints and copper-coloured tinges. On the nose, this Trinidad rum is suave and round, showing aromas of honey, caramel, cocoa and vanilla, along with delicately toasted notes.
The palate is nice and smooth. Slightly warm and very long, leaving traces of dry fruit, honey and toasted wood.
