The superb Ron Barceló Imperial is a product crafted by the Barceló & Co distillery, founded in 1930 in the Dominican Republic by an immigrant entrepeneur from Catalonia. The annual production of this Dominican rum is limited to 8,500 bottles.

Made from the purest sugarcane juice, the production of Barceló Imperial process comprises four stages: fermentation, distillation, ageing (for a minimum of 15 years), and blending. All of them take place in a state-of-the-art facility, one the of the Caribbean's most advanced rum production plants.

This rum from the Dominican Republic has a clean, bright, beautiful amber colour with some copper-coloured tinges. The nose is smooth and fragrant, displaying notes of tropical fruit, some vanilla remembrances and dim notes of raisins. The palate is warm and well-balanced, with elegant wooden notes, some notions of dry fruit and a background of exotic spices. Long, pleasant finish.
