Nordés

Atlantic-inspired spirits and vermouths.
The Nordés Distillery from Galicia is the joint project of winemaker Juan Luis Méndez and sommelier Xoan Cannas, winner of the 2004 Spanish Nariz de Oro award. The company was born exactly on April 2018, 2012, when the two future partners, while enjoying a traditional polbo á feira – a Galician-style octopus dish – at a restaurant in Chantada (Lugo), had the idea of making the first ever Galician Gin.
With the aid of master distiller Pepe Albela, the founders of the Nordés distillery created and developed the concept of the Atlantic Gin. In contrast with the London Dry Gin style, the main ingredient of the Ginebra Nordés gin is spirit made from Albariño, Galicia's best-known native white grape variety.
Besides the signature product, the portfolio of the Nordés Distillery is comprised of Ginebra Nordés 0,0, a Non-alcoholic Gin, and of two vermouths imbued by the Atlantic spirit that defines the identity of the brand: the red vermouth Nordés Vermouth Rojo and the white vermouth Nordés Vermouth Blanco.
