Bodegas Vetus

The branch of Grupo Artevino in Toro.

In 2003, the Antón Family, owner of Grupo Artevino, launched Bodegas Vetus in the region of Toro. It was the last addition to an impressive portfolio of companies, which nowadays includes Bodega Izadi and Bodega Orben (Rioja), and Finca Villacreces in Ribera del Duero.

The estate of Bodegas Vetus winery is located in the town of Villabuena del Puente. It comprises 20 hectares of low-yielding Tinta de Toro grapevines, divided in 3 plots according to age and training system. Farming is environmentally friendly and defined by sustainability criteria. The Bodegas Vetus winery uses state-of- the-art winemaking technology.

All of the wines of Bodegas Vetus in DO Toro are varietal Tinta de Toro reds. In addition, the winery makes a varietal Verdejo white wine in the neighbouring DO Rueda.
