Bodega Orben

A brand of the Artevino Group, Bodegas Orben explores some of the best terroirs in Rioja Alavesa.

Created in 2007 in the heart of La Rioja Alavesa, Bodegas Orben is one of the branches of Grupo Artevino, property of the Izadi Family. Artevino is also the owner of Vetus (Toro), Finca Villacreces (Ribera del Duero) and Bodegas Izadi (Rioja).

The vineyards of Bodegas Orben are planted in clay-limestone soils in some the highest areas of La Rioja Alavesa, not far from Laguardia. Besides Tempranillo – the flagship variety, the oldest vines of which are almost 100 years old – the winery also grows the white varieties Viura, Malvasía, White Grenache and Maturana Blanca.

The product portfolio of the Orben winery is currently composed of two red wines, Orben and Malpuesto, and one white wine, Chocolate Blanco. They are produced using state-of-the-art technology in a building which isr emarkably well integrated into the surrounding landscape. The area dedicated to ageing the wine is buried underground.

Conscious of the fact that great wine is best enjoyed when paired with good food, the Bodega Orben winery also has a top-notch restaurant, as well as a premium wine tasting and selling area.
