Casal de Armán
Characterful Galician wines made from indigenous grapes.
The Casal de Armán winery was founded in the late 1990s by the González Vázquez Family with the
aim of making wines from the native grape varieties of the DO Ribeiro. The heirs of a winemaking
tradition which goes back to the late XIXth century, the current generation decided to establish its
headquarters in the XVIIIth century family house. Completely restored and refurbished, the building
currently houses all of the winemaking facilities, as well as areas dedicated to wine tourism activities.
Nowadays, the Casal de Armán winery owns 20 hectares of trellis-trained vineyards in Ribadavia,
Ourense. They are planted in poor soils composed of granite, clay and sand, at an altitude of 350 metres
above sea level. The white varieties are Treixadura, Godello and Albariño. The red ones are Caíño,
Sousón and Brancellao. The wines of bodega Casal de Armán are remarkable for its personality, freshness and Atlantic character.
The product portfolio of bodega Casal de Armán is comprised of red and white wines. The entry-level
white wine, 7 Cupos, is a varietal Treixadura. The mid-shelf wines are Casal de Armán Blanco and Casal
de Armán Tinto, a white and a red blend, respectively. The top-shelf bottlings are single vineyard wines.
