Condado de Haza

A Château-style winery in Ribera del Duero.
Founded in 1987 by the legendary Alejandro Fernández, creator of world-renowned Tinto Pesquera,
bodega Condado de Haza is a Château winery located in the village of Roa, province of Burgos, DO
Ribera del Duero.
Planted solely with Tempranillo, the vineyards of Condado de Haza cover a surface area of 200 hectares
tended with organic farming techniques. The first vines were planted in 1989, and the main facility was
built inside a small hill, where temperature and humidity conditions remain stable throughout the year.
The barrel storage room, which is buried 30 metres underground, houses around 3,000 American oak
barrels, a not-so-common material nowadays whose strong character gives a unique personality to the
wines by the Condado de Haza winery.
Bodega Condado de Haza is a branch of Grupo Familia Fernández Rivera, which also owns the Tinto
Pesquera, Dehesa La Granja and El Vínculo labels. The collective brand was created by three of
Alejandro Fernández’s four daughters after they challenged their father’s will, which in 2021 named the
fourth and youngest sister, Eva Fernández, the sole heir. Eva Fernández later started her own project under the name Tinto Pesquera Original.
