Ramón do Casar

Ramón do Casar

The Ramón do Casar winery produces high-quality white wines following venerable Galician traditions.

After having lived in Venezuela for several years, Ramón González returned to his native Spain and decided to create a winery in Galicia. Slowly buy steadily, he managed to buy up to 20 hectares of vineyards, in the midst of which he built a cutting-edge winemaking facility designed to produce terroir-bound Galician white wines with the Ramón do Casar label.

The vineyards of this Galician winery are located near Pardo, a town on the banks of the Miño River, in the province of Ourense. Belonging to the DO Ribeiro, the area has a dry and hot microclimate. Winters, though, are very humid.

Bodega Ramón do Casar is focused on the production of white wines made from Galician indigenous grapes, namely Treixadura, Godello and Albariño. The vineyards are farmed following environmentally friendly procedures and low-intervention techniques.

The winemaking facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Pablo Estévez, one of Spain's most talented winemakers, is the winery's technical director.
