The wine Alonso del Yerro María is the top-shelf Spanish red wine of bodega Alonso del Yerro, a noteworthy family-run winery based in DO Ribera del Duero.
Made from Tempranillo vines around 40 years of age, this Crianza red wine is sourced from two parcels, El Circo and Violeta: one composed of clay soils – giving structure and depth – and one with soils of calcareous gravel – providing freshness and aromatic elegance.
The hand-picked grapes were meticulously sorted and vinified in big wooden vats. After that, the red wine Alonso del Yerro María 2021 was aged for 17 months in French oak barrels.
Bottled in July 2023, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was kept for a minimum of 2 years in the cellar before hitting the market.
