Biu de Sort Blanc 2020
We present the 2020 vintage of the wine Biu de Sort Blanc, a high-altitude Spanish white wine produced by Celler Batlliu de Sort, a company based in the mountainous region of Pallars Sobirà (Lleida), in DO Costers del Segre.
Made from 85% Riesling and 15% Viognier, the grapes come Finca La Borda, a vineyard with slate soils located at an altitude over 900 metres above sea level.
The winery is committed to implementing environmentally-friendly farming practices, following the guidelines of organic and biodynamic agriculture (non-certified).
Harvest of this high-altitude white wine was performed by hand. The grapes were vinified in stainless steel tanks and aged on its lees for over a period of 10 months.
After that, the white wine Biu de Sort Blanc 2020 was aged for another 14 months in diposits before its commercial release.
This is a very pure, interesting Crianza white wine born on the Catalan side of the Pyrénées.

| Our personal opinion | The uncommon wine Biu de Sort Blanc 2020 will pair excellently with a great Foie Gras from Strasbourg, or with some Bluefin tuna marinated in a Premium Spanish Extra Virgin Olive oil. |
