The white wine Blanc d'Orto is produced by oenologist Joan Asens, ex chief winemaker of Álvaro Palacios.
Produced by the Orto Vins winery, this Spanish white wine is a varietal White Grenache from DO Montsant.
The grapes comes from 5 little parcels, with a total surface area of less than 2 hectares, scattered across the towns of El Masroig and Torre Fontaubella. The 40 to 60-year-old vines grown in limestone, sand and gravel soils.
Harvested and carefully destemmed, the grapes were vinified in stainless steel tanks. After a brief period of skin maceration, the wine Blanc d'Orto 2024 was fermented and subsequently aged on its lees for 6 months.
Prior to bottling, this white wine from Montsant was delicately filtered.
Pair with oily fish recipes, white meat and creamy cheeses.
