The Bourbon whiskey Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon was created as the private reserve of Colonel Blanton, former president of the Blanton distillery and a pioneering figure in the development of Bourbon.

Introduced in 1984, this Bourbon Whiskey was the first ever comercially released Single Barrel Bourbon. Because of its quality, it immediately became the paragon for all subsquent Single Barrel Bourbons.
