Details
The red wine Convento San Francisco is a varietal Tempranillo made from vines over 85 years old, located at altitudes between 850 and 1,000 metres above sea level.
The vineyards are located near the facilities of the Convento San Francisco winery, in the villages of Gumiel de Izán and Fuentenbro, in the very heart of DO Ribera del Duero
The grapes were hand-picked in October and selected on site and at the receiving station. Then this Spanish red wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature with periodic pump-overs and punch-downs.
After completing the malo, the wine Convento de San Francisco 2019 was aged for 17 months in French oak barrels.
Finally, this Crianza red wine was bottled and kept in the cellar for some months before hitting the market.
