Made by the prestigious French winemaker Olivier Rivière in La Rioja, the wine Rayos Uva is a blend of Grenache, Graciano and Tempranillo
Grown at an altitude of 650 metres above sea level, this Spanish red wine is made from low-yielding vines. The soils are composed of sand and limestone; moreover, they are covered with pebble stones - similar to the legendary "galets" of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Produced only from the "free-run" juice, the grapes were destemmed and cold-soaked. Then the wine was fermented and, following the traditional procedure, macerated with daily pump-overs. The wine Rayos Uva 2022 was subsequently aged on its lees for 5 months, first in stainless steel tanks and then in concrete diposits.

What the Frenchman Olivier Rivière has accomplished after only a few years in Spain is quite impressive. This is his entry-level wine, and it is simply delicious. It makes you wanna drink his top wines, some of which are very highly priced.
