Made by Cérvoles Celler in DO Costers del Segre, the wine Garnatxa de Cérvoles is sourced from Grenache vineyards sitting between 700 and 800 metres of altitude, in an area called Serra de Llena, a natural boundary between the Priorat and Montsant regions.
Composed of clayey soils with some gravel, the area has a Mediterraean climate with some Continental elements. Because of the altitude, there are great temperature differences between daytime and nighttime, which helps the grapes develop high levels of natural acidity. That fact gives this Spanish red wine a distinctive freshness.
This varietal red wine from DO Costers del Segre went through a partial full-cluster, minimalistic vinification in stainless steel tanks. After that, the red wine Garnatxa de Cérvoles 2022 was briefly aged in 4,000-litre French oak vats.
This super quaffable organic red wine will pair fabulously well with tapas, finger food and laid-back recipes.
