Details
Coming from DO Rías Baixas, the wine Goliardo Espadeiro is one of the bottlings of the Tintos de Mar collection of Bodega Forjas del Salnés.
Made solely from Espadeiro, a scarce, high-quality variety indigenous to Galicia and Portugal, the grapes are sourced from a single 45-year-old vineyard with sandy and granite soils.
Hand-harvested and meticulously selected, the grapes were fully destemmed before being fermented in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation was carried out in 500-litre French oak barrels, where the wine Goliardo Espadeiro 2020 was then aged for 24 months.
Finally, this red wine from Rías Baixas was bottled in January 2023 and stored for 2 years minimum before hitting the market.
This is a hard-to-find, rather unique Crianza red wine. 600 bottles produced.
