Bordeaux-native winemaker Tom Puyabert, founder and head of Bodegas Exopto from DOCa Rioja, is the name behind the red wine La Mimbrera de Exopto Graciano, one of the bottlings of the Vinos de Parcela collection of the winery.
A rare varietal Graciano, this Spanish red wine is sourced from the first plot planted by Mr. Puyabert in La Mimbrera, a vineyard with clay-limestone soils and gravel on the surface located in Ábalos, at 450 metres of altitude.
The grapes were hand-picked and went through after a traditional vinification under controlled temperature and a 2 week maceration. Then the red wine La Mimbrera de Exopto Graciano 2021 was aged in used for 15 months in 600-litre used French oak barrels.
This Crianza red wine was bottled with a low sulfite content.
Very limited production.
Decant this Rioja red wine some time before drinking.
