Whisky Laphroaig Select

The whisky Laphroaig Select is the entry-level product of the Laphroaig distillery from the Island of Islay.

This Single Malt from Islay is the result of a meticulous crafting process. After selecting whiskies aged in Oloroso sherry butts, first-fill ex-Bourbon quarter casks and Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads at different levels of maturation, the Master Distiller finished the blend in virgin American oak barrels, a most uncommon choice for Scotch whisky.

Golden-coloured with some amber reflections, this Single Malt Whisky exhibits some notes of peat and smoke, intertwined with sour red berries, citrus and flowers. The palate of Laphroaig Select is gently sweet and smokey, with overtones of lemon and flowers and a hint of sweet almonds.

This Single Malt is a great introduction to the peated whisky produced in Islay.
