White Wine Menade Verdejo 2022

This is the new vintage of Menade Verdejo of Bodega Menade. The producer of this Spanish white wine was the first in DO Rueda to obtain an organic seal.

Its commitment to organic and sustainable farming principles is illustrated by the image of the hare - a key element in the vineyards' ecosystem - looking straight at us.

In order to preserve the specific qualities of the Verdejo grapes, grape harvesting was carried out following three different procedures. Depending on the characteristics of each plot and on the ripening state of the grapes, some of them were green harvested, others were manually harvested during daytime and, finally, the rest of the grapes were mechanically harvested at nighttime.

Gently crushed, the grapes were cold macerated with carbonic snow, separately fermented in stainless steel tanks and fermented with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature. After two weeks, the different musts were blended and Menade Verdejo 2022 was clarified and cold-stabilized prior to its bottling.

This fresh young white wine is particularly appealing in summertime.
