Whisky Nikka Coffey Grain

Produced by the prestigious Nikka distillery, the whisky Nikka Coffey Grain is an unconventional Japanese whisky that, contrary to the traditional Single Malts, is made from corn and cereals, which are distilled in two column, aka Coffey stills.

Both features, the unusual composition and the use of the two column, traditional stills – which provide a texture that is quite different from the multi-column modern ones – give this Japanese Grain whisky a lighter, fresher and more approachable character.

Golden coloured with some yellowish reflections, the whisky Nikka Coffey Grain has an attractive and fruit-driven nose, carrying aromas of lychee, ripe pineapple and passion fruit underscored by notes of undergrowth, black truffles and resin. This whisky matured in American oak casks has a nicely rounded, delicate and gently sweet palate, reminiscent of malted cereals and toasted bread, with a long, spicy finish.
