Petit Pittacum 2023
This is the new vintage of the wine Petit Pittacum of Bodegas Pittacum. A varietal Mencía, this Spanish red wine is made from vines planted in clayey soils in DO Bierzo.
Manually harvested and selected, the grapes were destemmed and fermented uncrushed in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature, with frequent punch-downs and pump-overs.
After that, the wine Petit Pittacum 2023 went straight into the bottle. Thus, it saw no oak at any stage of the winemaking process.
This is a fresh, straightforward red wine from El Bierzo.
Pair with BBQ'd meat.
