Red Wine PSI 2021
Availability: In stock
This is the new vintage of the wine PSI from Ribera del Duero, produced by world-class Dane winemaker Peter Sisseck.
This red wine from Ribera del Duero is sourced from a multitude of small plots scattered across 200 hectares of vinyeards owned by local winegrowers. The main ingredient is Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), complemented with 8%f Grenache.
The grapes were hand-picked, destemmed, macerated, and fermented in concrete diposits. After that, the red wine PSI 2021 was transferred into French oak barrels and vats which had been previously used to age Mr. Sisseck's top wines, Pingus and Flor de Pingus, and aged for a period of 18 months.
The lees were extracted one month before bottling in July 2023. Apart from that, this Crianza red wine was not filtered or clarified.
Decant this Spanish red wine 1 hour before drinking.
349,000 bottles produced.
| Appearance | The red wine PSI is deep ruby with some garnet tinges. |
|---|---|
| Nose | Stylish and complex, this blend of Tinto Fino and Grenache carries aromas of wild cherries, blueberries and plums. As it opens, some spicy notes, as well as some floral and toasted remembrances come to the fore. There is also an earthy background, and a balsamic note. |
| Palate | The exceptional craftmanship of Peter Sisseck clearly shows here. Remarkable balance between fruit and oak, great freshness, top-notch acidity and bridled tannins. This wine of Dominio de Pingus has a long finish, with some mineral and spicy remembrances. |
| Our personal opinion | The wine PSI 2021 is produced by a master winemaker at the top of his game. |
