We are proud to present the red wine Flor de Pingus, crafted by the one and only Peter Sisseck, the Danish superstar winemaker behind the legendary Pingus, one of the world’s most sought-after wines.
Made solely from Tinta del País, this Crianza red wine is sourced from 40 hectares of vineyards situated in five Parajes (lieux-dits) near the village of La Horra, DO Ribera del Duero. The vines 30 to 60 years of age, are tended following organic and biodynamic techniques. According to the DO Regulatory Board, the 2019 vintage in Ribera del Duero was an “Excellent” one.
The hand-picked grapes went through an extremely rigorous sorting process, after which this Spanish red wine was fermented in 30% new French oak barrels with native yeasts. After that, the red wine Flor de Pingus 2019 carried out a spontaneous malolactic fermentation and was aged for 18 months in the barrels.
Bottled in June 2021, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was stored for some years in the cellar before hitting the shelves.
We suggest that you delicate aerate this organic red wine before serving.
