Produced in Ribera del Duero, the wine Tinto Figuero Viñas Viejas is a remarkable varietal Tempranillo made from vines planted between 1942 and 1965 in Paraje de Zaloña, a Premier Cru vineyard situated at an altitude exceeding 800 metres above sea level. Soils are composed of sand and clay.
The grapes were harvested in late September, brought to the cellar in little boxes and meticulously vinified.
First, this Spanish red wine was spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks, after which it was macerated for 14 days. After that, this red wine from Ribera del Duero completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 15 months in new French oak barrels.
Finally, the wine Tinto Figuero Viñas Viejas 2021 was further aged for 12 months in the cellar prior to its commercial release.

| Nose | Remarkably complex and deep, this old-vines Tempranillo conveys pristine aromas of blackcurrants and damson, with hints of spices, graphite, liquorice, cocoa, bitter chocolate and toast. Deep mineral undertones slowly appear, mingled with some fresh earthy notions. |
| Palate | This is a meaty, smooth red wine from Bodegas y Viñedos García Figuero. Nice entrance onto the palate, with substantial volume and complexity. Velvety tannins, well-balanced acidity and long finish with remembrances of mulberries, balsam, spices and subtle wooden notes. |
