Product Description
Details

The flagship product of Bodegas y Viñedos García Figuero, Figuero Tinus is one of the scarcest and most sought-after wines from Ribera del Duero.

This single vineyard Spanish red wine is sourced from over 70-year-old Tempranillo vines planted in one of the best terroirs in the region.

The harvest and vinification of this red wine from Ribera del Duero were extremely meticulous.

Picked by hand, exactingly selected and brought to the cellar in small boxes, the grapes were first fermented in 500-litre oak vats.

After that, the malolactic fermentation Figuero Tinus 2017 was carried out in fine grain new French oak barrels, in which the wine was also aged for 24 months.

Finally, this Reserva red wine was bottled and aged for a further 12 months before hitting the market.

4,050 bottles produced.

Decant at least 1 hour before drinking.

Appearance

The red wine Figuero Tinus is deep purple with some garnet and reddish glints.

Nose

The nose of this Tempranillo is truly memorable, showing astounding balance and impressive complexity. Ever-evolving notions of wild berries, liquorice, tobacco, resin, balsam, menthol, lavender, dew, violets, graphite, charcoal, cedar and tobacco.

Palate

Dense, unctuous and powerful, this wine from Bodegas y Viñedos García Figuero is a giant in the making. Exceptional acidity, bold tannins and a deep sense of authenticity and terroir. Wondeful balance and extremely long, complex finish.

Our personal opinion

The mighty Figuero Tinus 2017 is a treasure of a wine. Just give it some time to reach full maturity.
